The WiseUP Youth Summit is a fully funded a one day event for senior secondary school students considering a career in a technology/innovation.
The Summit intends to provide – through the eyes of our young professional presenters – a glimpse into life in the modern workplace and show that innovation is not limited to the tech sectory and crosses all employment sectors and organisations sizes.
WiseUP will provide attendees an upclose and personal opportunity to hear from young professionals like trail blazer and 2018 DIF Champion Michelle Mannering who hails from Albury-Wodonga

The following are the key speakers that will present on the day.
Michelle was born and raised in Albury-Wodonga and has won a number of state and national awards including the DELL Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Michelle works for GitHub which is the biggest open source platform in the world. Michelle also has interests in many other activities including esports, hackathons, and is a co-founder of an electric scooter start-up.
Michelle will be talking about her journey in the tech industry and about opensource technology
Joel, hails from Bendigo, is the co-founder of AgriNous, an AgTech start up delivering compliance and business efficiencies to the Stockagent, Saleyard, Processor & Producer sectors of Australia’s booming Livestock industry.
Joel is also Chairperson of the CEPA Co-Operative buying group.
Joel will be sharing his experience in a technology start-up that is changing the face of livestock management
Amy, born and raised in Albury-Wodonga, has spent her professional years working as a tailor, milner, seamstress, and fashion designer. Amy has worked on major National musical productions including Alladin, Kinky Boots, Sleeping Beauty, Singin’ in the Rain and Strictly Ballroom.
As co-founded Shy Hero which is a boutique womens fashion brand, Amy will share her experience as a tactile designer in a digital world
Robert, who grew up in Wangaratta, is a seasoned Cyber Security Professional with over a decade of experience at the pointy end of Cyber Security. Robert has recently returned to Australia from overseas where he worked as a senior member of the Global Ericsson Network Security team.
